匹茲堡鋼人足球隊戰勝紐約噴射機隊，取得職業美式足球聯盟美聯(NFL)冠軍賽的參賽資格，將向該隊的第七座全美足球超級盃邁進，讓匹茲堡市民為之瘋狂。
全美足球超級盃比賽將於2月6日在德州達拉斯舉行，匹茲堡的華人球迷目前已開始籌劃遠征加油，或是在家開超級盃派對。碰巧當晚將是匹茲堡華人餐飲公會在「河岸賭場」舉辦農曆新年聚餐，不少與會者已打算邊吃邊看球賽轉播。
上周末鋼人隊贏球後，當晚匹茲堡及鄰近報社立即出特刊號外，工人連夜趕工製作超級盃的球衣，次日清晨就擺在運動用品店供球迷搶購；同時，匹茲堡的旅行社也忙著為準備遠征的球迷訂機票與旅館。
達美航空公司臨時增加由匹茲堡飛往達拉斯的航班，還有私人飛機提供14人當日往返的服務，並包括以禮車由機場接送牛仔球場，索價每人1萬元。
旅行社人員說，超級盃比賽期間達拉斯旅館房價由最便宜一晚400元起跳，到數千元不等。球票最便宜的是2600元起跳，也有貴到一張5696元。她說，球迷簡直瘋狂，有人為了買票，必須連刷好幾張信用卡。
華人球迷比較實際，不致為了看球傾家蕩產，但已有人打算開車14小時去德州，順道拜訪親友，住上兩三天。即使買張球票，或僅穿上鋼人隊衣物，到牛仔球場外大型電視觀賽，也算盡了心。
據有經驗的球迷指出，牛仔球場有10萬個座位，中間休息時間，啦啦隊的表演水準很高。場內吃個披薩都要60元，想要看超級盃就要捨得花錢，相形之下，鋼人隊與噴射機隊的比賽球票便宜太多。(張瓊月)

Katy’s dispatch to World Journal (世界日報) reporting the frenzy activities in the greater Pittsburgh area preparing to send off the Steelers to Dallas to clench the 7th Super Bowl Lombardi on February 6. The Steelers Super Bowl Pep Rally was held at Heinz Field this afternoon.
Some Chinese Americans in the greater Pittsburgh area have planned to travel to Dallas and many are organizing the Super Bowl party. The Chinese Restaurants Association Lunar New Year party will be held at the Three Rivers Casino (adjacent to the Heinz Field) the same evening. All will cheer while indulging in the scrumptious dishes, hoping to celebrate the New Year and the Steelers victory.
All things Steelers and the AFC Champion attires were out in the stores overnight, just in time for the Steelers fans to swarm in. All the travel agents are working overtime; all heading for Texas. The airlines have increased the flights between Pittsburgh and Dallas. A private jet offers a same-day round trip, including a limousine service from the airport to Cowboys Stadium; all will be at your disposal and service if you can spare $10,000.
The hotels at Dallas have hiked up the prices starting at $400, all the way up to several thousand dollars a night. It is reported that the cheapest ticket price is $2,600 and may be as expensive as $5,696. If one is not well-to-do, one may need to use several credit cards to cover a ticket price.

.February 2011 will find Dallas hosting its first-ever Super Bowl. Although the Cowboys have won 5 Super Bowls, and appeared in 8 overall, their hometown has yet to host the big game. That will all change next February when 80,000 football fans pile into the new Dallas Cowboy Stadium to witness Super Bowl XLV.
During its inaugural season (2009 NFL season), Dallas Cowboy Stadium drew rave reviews from fans and players alike. It's state-of-the-art displays, including the world's largest high definition video screen, and many creature comforts and fan-friendly attractions and activities make it the perfect site for the biggest football game of the year.
Although February 2011 may seem far in the future, now is the time to start planning your trip to Super Bowl XLV in Dallas. With an expected quarter million people visiting the Dallas-Ft Worth area during Super Bowl week, hotel rooms are best booked early.
Of course, whether you're attending the game or not, Super Bowl week is a great time to plan a trip to Dallas, assuming you can find a room, as Dallas' already top-flight nightlife will be taken to another level with Super Bowl events and parties happening throughout the city.
